The discoveries from the ancient settlement on Hemmaberg / Globasnitz follow the traces of the pre-Celtic deity Iouenat, who gave her name to the Roman settlement of Iuenna and the Jauntal Valley. The excavations of the early Christian pilgrimage sanctuary from the Migration Period (400–600 AD), along with the Ostrogothic burial ground, represent extraordinary archaeological finds for the entire Alps-Adriatic region. Categories are structured in alignment with those of the other sites.
